Old Pictures from last week

The Scrabble Champ!
Poor little thing, she has such a tiny nose her glasses always slide down her little face.
Don't be looking for our mistakes. This was Darren and Lauren's first Srabble game. I don't think they did too bad. Most of the 2-3 letter words are mine! LOL

I didn't have time to take many pictures hence the reason most of them were blury. I was running around the table while we were playing the games trying to take some snapshots. See how deep in thought they are. Too cute.

Eat, think, play!

She won the Bottle of Kisses! That bottle is almost as big as she is!

BTW, Congrats to CK on the arrival of her new baby boy Carson Felix! So happy for her. That bottle is more her size and his.

Darren gaming it at CC's!

Darren and Lauren with Christian to celebrate his 10th Birthday!

Chipmunk Cheeks! Ha ha.

Weekend Update

This was pretty much me this weekend. Ice, medicine and soft foods. I think the worst is over though. I have a bit of swelling but other then that I am on the road to recovery.

The kids and I went to see Leather Heads. It is a pretty good movie.
We give it 4 out of 5 stars

It was a movie weekend. We rented The Kingdom, The Invasion, Mr. Woodcock and some other sports comedy movie, can't remember the name. Thank goodness the kids don't mind just hanging out with their ol'Mom. Darren is really into any movie that has to do with the government/military. I guess because his dad is in the Army.
A lot of people have cut their locks recently and have posted pictures of their new do. So I thought I'd share with you my new cut. It isn't too short, I'd actually like to go a bit shorter. I am not the best at taking self portraits but here you go. What else are you going to do in Houston traffic? The above picture is an extreme close up! lol

The kids and I also played a friendly game of Scrabble. Lauren actually won. lol I won a game too and my son had the nerve to say, "Wow Mom, it must make you feel mighty proud that you beat an 11 year old and an 8 year old at Scrabble". What a sore loser. lol It was their first time playing and they were really into it. I had pictures but my camera is not with me now so I will have to post some now OLD pictures soon. Hope everyone has a good week.

TGIF

So you haven't heard from me in a couple days and that is because I was lucky enough to have my wisdome teeth pulled out on Wednesday. My doctor was most excellent. All I remember is them pouring something cold on my arm and that is about it. Next thing I knew I was in a wheel chair on my way to the car. After that, I remember my good friend Chris pacing back and forth and going on and on about the medications I needed to take. Good thing he wrote it all down for me because I didn't remember a thing. Talk about good sedation. The kids got home from school and they were very eager to help me out and do whatever they could to make sure I was taken care of. Lauren made up ice packs and drew on the papertowels that she used to cover them. They said such things as "World's Best Mom" and "I love You Mom". She is such a little angel. We basically watched movies and relaxed. She got me water, my gauze and all the soft foods I could eat. I ate about 1/8 of a pancake today. I had mashed potatoes last night, yeah for warm food. Maybe I will lose a couple of pounds. I am a little swollen today but not in much pain. Yay for pain medicine. Dr. Michael Eklund and his team did a fantastic job. They had excellent bed side manners and were just great. It was very thoughtful that he called me that same evening to check on me and to give me an update on how everything went. I am glad I finally had this procedure done. It should've been done about 3 years ago. I hope everyone has a good weekend. I should have some pictures to post next week.

Oh, btw I have accepted a position with another company. I think it will be a good career move for me and the extra cash can't hurt. I'll have more details to follow.
