Day 15 - Something you don't leave the house without.

Hair Tie's
Now that my hair is long-er. I must have a hair tie with me, every where I go. You never know when I want or need to pull it back. I am very tempted to cut it again.

It was actually longer a few weeks ago but when I went to get my highlights my stylist got a tad sissor happy. Dern her.

Me and Carla in Philly!! Out with all the college kids. This was a fun night out though. (Memorial Day Weekend 2011)

Day 9 - A photo of the last item your purchased.

~Memory Foam Mattress Bliss!~
*
I am sleeping like an angel on a marshmellow cloud.
It is reversible too. One side Egg Crate effect is like a mini massage the other side Firm Comfy Bliss. OMG the best money I have spent in quite some time.
*
I have also bought a mini Vacation Package to Las Vegas. I am going in less than 2 1/2 weeks. My dear, awesome, sweet friend Sara is going with me and we are meeting my little sister Crystal there. Awesome!!
*
I have also booked my flight to PHILLY! Carla and I are looking to do a Memorial Day long weekend road trip. Look out Philly, New York, Rhode Island and Boston! We plan to leave our own landmarks. So excited!! 6 days with Pea aka Carla. It will be one major laugh fest indeed.
*
Also looking for tickets to go to Vail, CO second weekend in June with my sweet friend Oanh. We have a beautiful mountain top home to call ours for a long weekend.
*
The following weekend is off to my hometown to go to my baby sister's baby shower! FUN FUN FUN! I can't wait to see my sister preggers! She is a doll. Pictures to come soon.

Day 1 - A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was.

Welcome to Day 1 of the 30 day Meme challenge.

Yep, there you go: A photo of Lalo! =)
*
My Day:
*
That is a tough one. It started out pretty good. The kids woke up without a hitch. The girl didn't miss her bus (as she has done all week) and the boy has his ride back in order (the girl he rides to school with had a broken foot and has missed a couple days of school). It is such a pain in the rear to take them to school. It is not that I mind but traffic is pure torture. Well that and I am riding "dirty". No, I don't drive without car insurance but I do have an expired Inspection sticker. Ugh, I really need a personal assistant to handle these types of things. One day I will get that taken care of. Date of sticker: 10-2010. LOL
*
I got to work, had a meeting. Possibly learned something so that was cool. Free breakfast 'celebratory' tacos. Ugh, so of course I ate one. Potato, Egg and Cheese. Not my usual egg whites. Oh well. I was a little discouraged about some directions received re: my new area to work on. Apparently the team I will be working on is HOW DO YOU SAY... sweet on the girl who use to handle that area. So basically I was told that she will handle working with the team and I am the lease biotch. ha ha. One more thing I have to prove to the higher ups. I am capable of talking to our division offices.
*
Then we had a department meeting with none other than cupcakes. Yay for Lalo on passing on those sweet treats. I was still digesting that taco from the morning. Also congratulations are in order for SD, who won our quarterly meeting co-worker challenge. I had no idea she knew so many random facts about the people on our floor. LOL Someone has been having secret happy hours with the 1st quarter employees?!? Hmm. JK Steph.
*
After work I met up with Sara & Carol. I haven't seen Carol since early January so it was good to see her and catch up. We met at "The Tasting Room" their new location in Town & Country aka City Centre. It was very nice and open. We had dinner at Cyclone Anayas and spotted Rod Ryan (from 94.9 the Buzz-my favorite morning show). I was a respectable fan and I let him enjoy his evening off duty. I was too busy laughing with the girls about some of my recent ski trip adventures. I am sure more of those stories are to come. Some good stories indeed.
*
I came home to 2 happy kids who ate left over pizza for dinner from the night before. Like a good Mom I planned ahead knowing I would be home a little later than usual. After getting all my hugs and kisses I sat to start this post.
*
I am struggling a bit to be a creative writer, not that I can confirm if I ever was one, but here it is.
*
If I had to rate my day on a scale of 1-10 I would have to give it a 7.
It wasn't a bad day but I have had better.
I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. Maybe the next man of my dreams. LOL
*
Good night bloggers and fans!
*
Oh, I can't forget to mention that a sweet blogging buddy of mine Steph is going to make me something special for my little nephew. I am so excited to see her work. Thanks again Stephanie.

TiloTrends: Check It Out

A couple items I ordered!!
Cute Earrings! Great Price too!
A really good friend of mine (Yolanda) is getting her business going on the web. She started selling jewelry and accessories about 3-4 years ago.
*
It all started when she realized how many woman (and men) stopped her to ask: "Where did you get that?" or "I love what you are wearing". It was then that she realized that she has an eye for fun fashionable jewelry.
*
She then decided to start buying what she liked in bulk and taking it to her office. All the woman rushed to her desk to see her goods and wiped her out. Often times they made requests for additional items. It was then that she realized she was on to something.
*
She even got me into wearing it! I never use to wear anything more than earrings, if I even managed to do that much. Once she got her hands on me and introduced me to the world of fashion jewelry (at AMAZING prices) I soon discovered how fun it was to coordinate my necklaces and earrings and bracelets with my wardrobe. Heck, I started to shop around my jewelry.
*
I am asked ALL the time the same thing she would hear when this all started. The compliments keep coming. I am very excited that she has launched her own website and I am already waiting on my FIRST of many orders. Check it out and order something today! Don't forget to pass the website on to your friends too.
*
The funny thing about the name of the company is that it is a combination of her nickname and my nickname. We came up with it together many years ago. I am honored that she has kept that name and I wish her much success and I am excited to see her business grow.
*
Check out the site today and pass it on to all your friends. What girl doesn't like to hear how cute she looks.
She is adding new products all the time so save this site as one of your favorites and check back for new items. If you are looking for something particular (ex: You like beads, hearts, crosses) feel free to email her and request it. She may be able to find for you what you are looking for.

One Crazy Weekend and a Few Pictures from the celly!

Yolanda's Big Day February 6, 2010
This is one of the two dresses she wore. She looked amazing!
Romance and I striking a pose!

Claudia (sister), Ebony (friend) and Sister in Law before the ceremony!
I loved our bouquets and they smelled wonderful!
Lauren & I outside the chapel (The Gardens).

Headed to the reception in style! Wish my iPhone took better pictures. Of course when you are on a bumpy road and you are a shaky gal that can't help out the quality!
Claudia popping out the sunroof at the reception.
The wedding ceremony and reception were stunning and we had so much fun. Yolanda did an amazing job at putting everything together. I was so impressed. We had so much fun and she seems so happy. So do her kids and that in itself is a blessing. What a great family.
I have more (better) pictures but poor Yolanda lost her camera so I let her take mine to Vegas. Her mini honeymoon before Rome this summer. What a lucky lady. She better not lose my camera in Vegas or all the great pictures from this weekend.
Congratulations to Yolanda & Luis!
....and to the Saints.

Yolanda & Luis-2 Weeks Until the Big Day!

YFebruary 6, 2010Y
Yolanda & Luis
So Sweet Together
This weekend is crunch time for the preparation of their nuptials.

I still have to find my shoes and help Bridezilla with any last minute items..Really she hasn't been Bridezilla at all which is great. When she made the announcement that she was engaged and asked me to be a Bridesmaid my Inbox was soon loaded down with a "How to be a good Bridesmaid" handbook lol.

I thought to myself "OMG!" "What did I get myself into?" She has been very easy through this whole process but I am sure that now that it is getting down to the wire..the pressure is on. So I am reviewing my Bridesmaid handbook so I can take on whatever dilemma she may have in the next 2 weeks.

I can't wait for her big day! She really has found herself an amazing man!

Butta's Birthday Party (Censored)

Sara's Birthday Extravaganza January 16, 2010
We started out at Carol's house (Camp Director)
All the ladies
(Shawty, Lollipop, Lalo-Cha, Butta, Camp Director and Intern)

Butta & Lalo-Cha (Sara's 21st Birthday)

The Birthday Kids (Khahn's birthday party TBD)

Getting started, Sara knew we were getting a Limo, she just didn't know her man was upgrading to the Excursion. It was so nice and roomy.

Khahn and Mikey getting cozy

The "21" year old is already Double Fisting it..lol
& so it begins..the Limo was half the party. I agree with Sara, we should do that more often.

At AKA, our infamous birthday stop. Stopping here before we go to our other destinations is not a good idea, but for some reason we keep doing it. I guess we love Joe the bartender.

Just finished eating some awesome Sushi! Sara now has her button on her shoulder with some money! Way to go girl!

Romance & I
Outide of Monarch, isn't this a lovely spot for a picture.
I am not sure who the girl is in the boots? We picked up a few strays here and there. That happens when you are the life of the party. ha ha.

I hope you enjoyed your birthday party Sara. I hope we made up for all those years you got the shaft on your "after the holidays" birthday. We all had a blast. We made a few new friends, lost some shoes, cracked some ribs, had swollen eyes, bruises in roundabout places but we were in it to win it. Recovery time needed. Big thanks to our Camp Director who hosted the pick up and drop off spot. Had cake and decorations and of course breakfast!
