Butta's Birthday Party (Censored)

Sara's Birthday Extravaganza January 16, 2010
We started out at Carol's house (Camp Director)
All the ladies
(Shawty, Lollipop, Lalo-Cha, Butta, Camp Director and Intern)

Butta & Lalo-Cha (Sara's 21st Birthday)

The Birthday Kids (Khahn's birthday party TBD)

Getting started, Sara knew we were getting a Limo, she just didn't know her man was upgrading to the Excursion. It was so nice and roomy.

Khahn and Mikey getting cozy

The "21" year old is already Double Fisting it..lol
& so it begins..the Limo was half the party. I agree with Sara, we should do that more often.

At AKA, our infamous birthday stop. Stopping here before we go to our other destinations is not a good idea, but for some reason we keep doing it. I guess we love Joe the bartender.

Just finished eating some awesome Sushi! Sara now has her button on her shoulder with some money! Way to go girl!

Romance & I
Outide of Monarch, isn't this a lovely spot for a picture.
I am not sure who the girl is in the boots? We picked up a few strays here and there. That happens when you are the life of the party. ha ha.

I hope you enjoyed your birthday party Sara. I hope we made up for all those years you got the shaft on your "after the holidays" birthday. We all had a blast. We made a few new friends, lost some shoes, cracked some ribs, had swollen eyes, bruises in roundabout places but we were in it to win it. Recovery time needed. Big thanks to our Camp Director who hosted the pick up and drop off spot. Had cake and decorations and of course breakfast!

Happy Birthday Gina!

I can't say it enough. You are truly an amazing friend and person. I still swear we were separated at birth or at least by birth mother! Sometimes when we talk about things...I can't believe how much we think alike.

Our famous saying: "GET OUT OF MY HEAD" could not be more true.

So here is a toast to you Gigi. Thank you for being my friend, my travel buddy, my confidant, my wedding date, my 'Stros buddy, and most of all, thank you for just being you!

Happy Birthday Hot Mama!

Darren's 13th Birthday

"13 Years Old"

Darren turned 13 on July 28th. My first born is officially a Teen. WOW! Being his birthday was on a Tuesday, we didn’t get to do much on the actual day. I felt bad that I had to go to work. (For Lauren’s 10th birthday we were in Colorado and went to Garden of the Gods and Seven Falls, followed by a steak dinner with our family, ice cream cake and gifts!). Anyhow, I got home from work and Darren said he wanted me to make him Spaghetti with Garlic Bread. Everyone asked if I was taking him out to eat and sadly the boy enjoys Mom’s home cooking more than eating out. *Thinking I need to cook more often*. Then I took him to Dairy Queen to get him his favorite dessert. His favorite is the Cookie Dough Blizzard…that is MY boy. For those of you who know me, know I can throw down some cookie dough, minus the ice cream.

So…this weekend we were going to go to Six Flags but I am just exhausted from being on the go. I have not been home for the past 4 weekends, so I bribed my way into staying home. How, you might ask. Well, I told the boy that if we stayed home this weekend, I would vamp up his bedroom. So we went and bought him a 19” TV (which was a birthday gift), an entertainment center, a new bed (he had bunk beds), a cool rug and storage for all his goodies and clothing and other decorative items. We shopped at IKEA, which is the most awesome store ever. Oh, btw..Lauren had a slumber party to attend so D and I got to spend some good quality time together-just the 2 of us. We had a lot of fun. Darren had to keep telling me "Okay Mom, lets go, we have enough stuff for now!". I was like, hey, do you want this trash can for your room, how about this lamp, or this mirror. Ha ha. He thinks I am nuts.

Note: Darren's bed looks much better than this plain picture: Better mattress's and Denver Bronco's gear!

So we tore up the carpet (it was old and funky in his room) and ripped down some lattice that was hung over the windows. Cleaned and cleaned and then put everything together. I have to admit, it came out better than I had envisioned. I was pretty proud of myself and you can just tell that Darren loves it. His exact words were: Being a teen is pretty cool.

Completed pictures will be posted tonight. It came out really cool. I am almost jealous.
I thought this rug was very cool because Darren is really into Guitars and Music and it kind of reminded me of that. Overall it was a fun weekend and I almost forgot how fun decorating can be. Look out, I may have to do the rest of the house now. :0)

Camera Cord Found In Camera Bag! AMAZING!

More Pictures from Sara's Birthday!

Sara & Todd {aka Butter & Tim}

Russ & I-Dinner at Trulucks!

This place was very nice but it was also very expensive and the food could've been better. They did however make a mean Martini! It was a special occasion afterall. Poor Russ wasn't feeling well but was a trooper and came with us to celebrate.

Lauren {actually wearing her contacts} at her friend Lauren's birthday party. There were about 20 little girls here and it was very loud. Maybe I am not so upset that Lauren's birthday is in the summer time. Too much squeeling and screaming for me. Of course the fact that Lauren's older/handsome brother came with gave her some points with the other girls. LOL, Poor Darren got into this moonwalk and those little girls went crazy. He was a good sport about it all and just laughed it off and then went inside to play video games with Lauren's older brother. Smart move.
Lauren and friends enjoying the Moonwalk.
This weekend is going to be a low key one for me. I am just going to have some down time with the boy and the girl. Maybe take in a movie and play board games. We could all use a nice quiet weekend.

Oh and just a funny note to add {I already told a few girls about this} but this morning I am taking the kids to school and I mentioned that I will be home before the kids today (because we work 6 hours on Friday) and D said, "Man, I wish we got off early on Friday instead of Wednesday". I told him, yeah-that would be nice, we would be able to get a start on our weekends. I wonder why they don't make early release on Friday? He then says, "Well, they told me they don't do it because if they did everyone would go to Mexico". LMAO, I was like WHAT? Remember the post I did on enrolling them in H.I.S.D., you gotta love it.

I hope everyone has a great weekend...and all my blogger friends need to get back to posting blogs...

Oh and also, Congratulations to Amanda on the birth of their baby boy! {January 3, 2008).

Happy Birthday Sara aka Butter

{The Classic Picture in a Public Bathroom!}
~I am so glad you are now 31 like me~
I wish you a very Happy Birthday!
*
We celebrated Sara's Birthday this Saturday-you know how tough WEEKDAY birthdays can be. We started out with a lovely dinner at Trulucks and ate SHRIMP the size of my head. I personally think there is a reason most shrimp served are under 5 pounds. It wasn't too bad, but it was a bit tough-maybe from the 'juice' they raise these things on. Let's just say next time I'll go for the regular sized shrimp. This delicious entree came with Grits. I've never gotten what grits are to be honest with you. A friend of mine said they were pig intestines or something of the sort, another friend said they are a corn product. All I know is that they weren't too bad. I think I would prefer the traditional (in my world) mashed potatoes. We made sure to choke down those massive shrimp with a few Martinis that were Oh My Lord-So Strong. I have no idea how Todd downed 3 in that sitting. LOL
-
Afterwards we went to the Bronx Bar near the Galleria for a few 50% off drink specials....yes Sara, they were 50% because it was your birthday celebration, not due to the economy! Ha ha. Music was good, drinks went down smoothly and good times were had. After a few of these reduced refreshments, our bday girl was feeling a little adventurous, so we went around the corner to a "Gentleman's Club". WOW, talk about a waste of money. To walk in and order a beverage for two people was the fastest $60.00 I had ever spent, so we took a quick snapshot in the ladies room to capture this crazy venture, well one of the performers was kind enough to take it for us, after all I did rescue her cell phone from falling out of her "COSTUME" ha ha. Needless to say, we realized this wasn't our cup of tea and we made our exit. Overall the evening was fun and I am happy I got to celebrate with Ms. Butter. To think we are planning a trip to Mexico this year.....and we got into all that in one night!
-
I am so happy you LOVE the BIG pen. Don't lose it girly! More pictures to come.....

THURSDAY THIRTEEN: Happy Birthday Nellie!

She has me addicted to this website, so I had to do it! I think BLUE SHORT hair works for her!

MY FIRST FAMILY!!

Thirteen Reasons I love Nellie!
  1. She is so damn funny and witty. The reason I have given her the nickname Capt'n Witty. Half the reason I blog is too laugh at her comments!
  2. She is beautiful inside and out and I am so glad we have become such good friends!
  3. She is my "1st Family"...such a long story how this came about. Well, just look at the picture above. She claims I look better taking pictures with her husband because of my natural glow. I think she is crazy but it cracks me up.
  4. She is a new Mommy to the most PERFECT boy. Even though he arrived early..he is still F'in Brilliant. It runs in her blood.
  5. We can just sit around at her house and eat Chinese food, drink some wine and just talk and talk and talk and then laugh laugh and laugh. I miss our Thursday nights, we must get those going again.
  6. She is very quick to put out fires...comes in handy when you are ON FIRE! *wink*
  7. She is my 'unofficial' life coach..what am I talking about..she is OFFICIAL. She always has the best advice and I know she keeps my best interest in mind when it comes to dating..friends..jobs...my kids...and last minute trips to Padre Island!
  8. She use to let me get her coffee and rub her feet and take excellent care of her when I was HER "ASSISTANT" {kidding, LMAO}
  9. She is simply stunning pregnant. Even hours after delivery. I am so proud of her for becoming the best Mommy (next to me) and having a totsite of her own...that I can not believe she actually still updates. Good job girl!
  10. She adores my children and she listens to all my random stories about our daily doings, sometimes I hear her talking to others about "the boy" and "the girl", she is so proud of them and me. That means a lot to me. Those lil ones are my world.
  11. She is probably the funniest friend{co-worker} you could ever have. We have had so many good times. I've had to coach her on some office etiquette but I think she is good now. WOW~I miss working with you lady!
  12. She has a kick ass sense of style and a love for shoes that has been passed down to me. Thanks girl, I am going broke now. SO glad your feet didn't expand with pregnancy.
  13. OVERALL, she is AWESOME and seriously one of my best friends and I have mad love for her and her family.

I look forward to watching Lil B grow up and making more fun memories together!
